B & M Recovery Ltd is an enforcement agency in England and Wales specializing in commercial rent arrears recovery, high court enforcement, squatter and traveller eviction, and tenant evictions. They needed a professional, trustworthy website that clearly presented their services and built credibility with landlords, solicitors, property managers, and public authorities. I was responsible for designing the UI to translate their service offerings and legal credibility into a clean, authoritative web experience.
As the UI Designer, I was tasked with creating a cohesive visual identity across the homepage, service listing pages, and contact interfaces. While no formal UX research was done, I used UI design principles to structure information clearly and project professionalism. My responsibilities included designing layouts that highlight key services, service order logic, contact forms, and trust elements like testimonials and certification details. I also delivered responsive mockups for desktop and mobile and coordinated with developers for a seamless implementation.
Their former site was text-heavy, visually dated, and did not properly guide users toward critical actions—like contacting the agency or learning more about specific enforcement services. The messaging didn’t clearly showcase their authority or reassure prospective clients of competence and legal standing. Navigation was inconsistent, leading to a messy user journey without clear call-to-action components.
Designing for B & M Recovery showed me how critical strong UI design is—even in the absence of formal UX research—particularly for professional services. By prioritizing clarity, visual hierarchy, and trust cues (e.g., displaying certified High Court Enforcement Officer credentials, testimonials like “Excellent service … efficient and professional”), I was able to bring focus and gravitas to their service offerings. The responsive layouts ensure clients can quickly understand each service—from commercial rent recovery to traveller eviction—across devices.
