Amour Sparkles is a UK-based brand offering a curated range of premium home-care and personal hygiene products. They were looking to revamp their online storefront to better align with their growing brand presence and improve the customer shopping experience. I was brought on board to redesign the user interface for the website—creating clean, modern layouts that highlight their product offerings in an engaging and easy-to-navigate way.
Although the scope of the project was focused solely on UI design, I applied visual design best practices with an awareness of user experience principles to ensure the site was functional, appealing, and conversion-friendly. I was responsible for designing the homepage, product listing pages, individual product detail pages, and all key interface components. I created high-fidelity mockups, ensured visual consistency across desktop and mobile layouts, and collaborated with the developer for handoff and implementation support.
The existing website lacked structure and did not effectively showcase the variety and quality of products available. The navigation was difficult to use, the visual hierarchy was unclear, and key elements like “Add to Basket” or product filters weren’t optimized for usability. Additionally, the overall design didn’t reflect the clean, modern, and fresh tone that the brand wanted to communicate to its customers.
Even though this project didn’t include user research or testing, it emphasized the importance of strong UI design in shaping a user-friendly shopping experience. By focusing on hierarchy, consistency, and mobile responsiveness, I was able to contribute to a more modern and trustworthy brand presence. It reinforced my belief that good design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s also about guiding users through a clear and intuitive path.
