About Me
Hi, I’m Saksham Bhardwaj, a UX designer, tech enthusiast, and problem solver currently based in Ottawa, Canada. I’m passionate about crafting intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that bridge the gap between creativity and functionality.
A Bit About My Journey
I started my career in UX/UI design a few years ago, blending my background in Computer Engineering with a deep interest in design to make digital tools more engaging and user-friendly. Today, I’m pursuing my Interactive Media Design diploma at Algonquin College, where I’m proud to be on the Dean’s Honours List. My education has pushed me to constantly innovate and think critically about how design shapes our daily experiences.
Along the way, I’ve had the chance to work on a variety of projects—whether it was designing user interfaces for apps, creating website mockups, or working as a photo lab technician—each role taught me something new and expanded my skill set.
What I Do
I design web and mobile applications, focusing on crafting clear wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces that make digital tools easy and enjoyable to use. I specialize in:
- UI/UX Design: Creating beautiful, functional interfaces.
- Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more.
- Design Tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more.
- User Research & Testing: Ensuring every design is based on real user needs.
My Experience
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of design roles—from presale designer at Taboola to UX designer at Logicsofts WebTech and GreenTech ITS—with a focus on creating seamless user experiences. One of my current projects is Arteve, a platform aimed at helping artists showcase their work and connect with opportunities. It’s been a great challenge to balance design with business strategy and user needs.
Leadership & Growth
Along with my design work, I’ve also been active in student leadership roles, including being a class representative and participating in the Student Leadership Program at Algonquin College. These experiences have helped me grow both personally and professionally, sharpening my skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership.
A Little Fun About Me
Outside of design, I’m a huge fan of hiking, trekking, and anything that gets me closer to the mountains. There’s something incredibly grounding about being in nature, pushing my limits on long trails, and experiencing the serenity of high altitudes. Let’s just say I’ve got a deep appreciation for heights—figuratively and literally!
